Description

Numbers 7 and 8 are a pair of early 19th-century houses. They are constructed of stucco and feature a prominent cornice and blocking course. Each house has three storeys and two bays, although Number 8 includes a single-storey extension to the front doorway. This extension is distinguished by detached Tuscan columns, a mutule cornice, a fanlight with glazing bars, and its original door. Number 7 has a round-arched entrance recessed within a round-headed surround, featuring a moulded stucco architrave and a vermiculated keystone. The ground-floor windows are also round-headed, recessed, and have a moulded string course at the spring of the arch. Upper-floor windows have plain reveals, with the first-floor windows notably long and fitted with wrought-iron guards. All windows are sash windows with glazing bars. A moulded string runs along the second-floor sills. The interior has not been inspected. The property features area railings with spearhead standards and urns spaced along their length.
