Description

Numbers 1-7 are a terrace of four houses built between 1805 and 1808, with numbers 5 and 7 featuring later alterations. The houses are constructed from multicoloured stock brick with a stuccoed basement and have a slate mansard roof with dormers behind the parapet. Each house has three storeys, an attic, and a basement, with three bays each; however, number 7 has an additional bay. The ground-floor openings are round-arched and feature a stucco string at the spring. There are steps leading up to the doors, which are flanked by timber fluted Tuscan columns, and the doors have reeded jambs, a fanlight, and a cornice head that is continuous with the string. The ground-floor sash windows are set in round-arched recesses that rest on a basement plinth. The upper-floor sash windows have flat, gauged-brick arches, with the first-floor windows being longer and featuring iron grilles and a stucco band. The rear of the houses has bow windows. The interior has not been inspected. The property also includes area railings and wrought-iron handrails to the steps.
