Description
Numbers 23-29 are a terrace of seven houses built between 1824 and 1832. They are constructed of multi-coloured stock brick and feature slate mansard roofs with dormers behind a stucco cornice and blocking course. The buildings rise three storeys, with an attic and basement, and each house has two bays, with three openings on the ground floor. The ground floor is rusticated stucco, with bands that create voussoirs for the segmental-arched openings. The doors have panelled pilasters, cornice heads, and fanlights, although two doors have been replaced with windows. The sash windows have glazing bars; the first-floor windows are adorned with stucco architraves, friezes, and cornices, while the second-floor windows have stucco architraves. There is a stucco sill band on the first floor. The terrace is complemented by cast-iron area railings with spearhead standards. All the listed buildings in Trinity Church Square are part of a group.
