Description
This is an early 19th-century villa located on Grove Lane in Southwark. The villa is constructed of stucco with a slate mansard roof extending over the right-hand two bays, featuring round-arched dormers above a cornice and blocking course. The style is Gothick. The villa is two storeys high, with a low basement and an attic.
The facade features a stucco pinnacle above the left bay and an entrance flanked by Doric pilasters supporting an entablature with a cornice; the door is recessed behind this. The ground floor has banded rustication, forming what appears to be voussoirs around the windows. The casement windows are ogee-headed and have Gothick glazing bars. A large stucco chimney stack with an ogee recess is located on the right return. The interior of the villa was not inspected during the listing process.
