Description
This is an early 19th-century villa of two storeys and a basement, originally featuring three windows. The villa is constructed of stucco with incised lines for decoration. It has a low-pitched slate roof with visible eaves soffits. The first floor has a continuous horizontal band below the sash windows, which have glazing bars that create a decorative pattern at the top. The ground floor windows are long casements with transoms, all set within moulded architraves supported by console bracketed cornices. A set of three stone steps leads to a half-glazed front door featuring margin lights, fluted quadrant pilasters, a cornice head, and a V-shaped tracery design for the fanlight, all within a prostyle Doric porch. To the right of the main entrance, portions of the original coach house walls and carriage door remain, framing the entrance to a later extension. Inside, the hall retains original woodwork and an ornamental cornice. A notable feature is an elliptical arch supported by fluted pilasters, and a graceful curved staircase located behind the arch, with a niche on the half landing. Much of the original woodwork has been preserved throughout the interior.
