Description

This is a pair of semi-detached houses located on Lyndhurst Way, dating from the early to mid-19th century. The houses are constructed of brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco detailing. The stucco is scored to resemble banded rustication on the basement level. The roofs are parapeted.

The houses are two and three storeys high, built over a basement, arranged around a recessed entrance area, paired at the party wall, with a taller range to one side. All windows and doorways have flat arches, with windows framed by architraves. First-floor windows have projecting cornices supported by console brackets. Steps lead up to the entrances, which are set under a two-bay porch supported by Tuscan columns. An entablature and blocking course sit above the porch. The ground-floor windows extend from floor to ceiling and feature three lights. A Tuscan aedicule frames a shallow porch. The building is topped by an entablature above all ranges. The interior has not been inspected. Numbers 21-41 (odd) form a group with this property.
