Description

A pair of semi-detached houses dated circa 1816-1822, located in Southwark. The houses are built of brick with low-pitched, hipped slate roofs. Number 18 has an added slate mansard with dormer windows. Both houses are two storeys and have a basement; Number 18 also has an attic. Each house has one main bay, with Number 17 featuring a one-storey entrance extension to the left. Number 18 has steps leading to the front door on its return elevation. The windows in Number 17 have been recently replaced. Number 18 has sash windows with glazing bars, and cambered, gauged-brick arches in a slightly projecting section, with those to the ground floor contained within a round-arched recess. The interior has not been inspected. The houses are included on the list because of their group value, and form a group with numbers 5-24 (consec).
