Description

Two houses, numbers 3 and 4 Mount Parade, were built between 1823 and 1828. They are brick-built with painted stone or stucco dressings and have slate roofs. The houses are three storeys high with attic and cellar levels. Number 3 has two bays, and number 4 has one. Each house has a single, bowed tripartite sash window on the ground floor, with a doorway to the right. The first-floor windows are glazing bar sashes, each with a painted, rusticated lintel, keystone and segmental soffit; number 4 has a single window on this floor. The cellars are lit by windows with glazing bars, and the attics have dormers containing horizontal sliding sashes, the dormer to number 3 having glazing bars. The doorcases feature reeded pilasters, friezes with panels created by raised borders, flattened console brackets, and plain semicircular overlights. The doors themselves have six raised and fielded panels. The houses share chimneys located to the left and between them. The interiors have not been inspected.
