Description

This is a house dating to circa 1840, situated on The Mount in York. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and a slate roof. The house is three storeys tall, above a cellar, and has two bays. The windows are glazing bar sash windows with brick flat arches; the first-floor windows have a sill band. The ground-floor window to the left has a four-panel door with an overlight, set within a doorcase featuring panelled pilasters and a cornice on brackets, and is accessed by an external flight of steps. A modillion gutter cornice is present. A shared chimney is located on the right-hand side. The interior has not been inspected.
