Description

This is a house dated 1843, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of stucco, with brick chimneys and a slate roof. The house is three storeys plus an attic and cellar and has two bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes. The ground-floor windows have semicircular heads, recessed within openings featuring moulded semicircular arches, keystones, and moulded imposts which serve as capitals to pilaster reveals. A storey band is present above, replacing what appears to have been a balcony based on historical photographs. The first-floor windows have architraves with linked heads, sills, and cornices. The second-floor windows feature lugged architraves and a moulded sill band. An enriched frieze sits below a dentilled gutter cornice. The attic is lit by a dormer with two casement windows, all under a pitched roof. The doorway, on the left side, is recessed within a further arched opening similar to the windows. The door itself has four sunken panels above which is an overlight window with glazing bars and a semicircular head. Ridge chimneys are located to the left and right. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
