Description
No. 118 The Mount is a house built around 1840. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building has three storeys and two bays. The upper storey windows are glazing bar sashes with brick flat arches, and the first-floor windows feature a sill band. On the ground floor, the right-hand bay has a canted bay window with sashes that do not have glazing bars, topped with a dentilled cornice. The left-hand bay contains a doorcase with pilasters that have raised and fielded panels, recessed panel reveals, and a cornice supported by brackets. The door itself has six raised and fielded panels and is topped by an overlight with margin panes. The exterior also features a modillioned timber gutter cornice, a shared chimney on the left, and a gable chimney on the right in front of the ridge. The interior has not been inspected.
