Description

This is a house dating from 1842-3, located on The Mount in York. It is constructed of brick with painted stone dressings. The house has three storeys and two bays. Upper floor windows are glazing bar sashes with rubbed brick flat arches. The first-floor windows have sill bands. The right-hand bay on the ground floor features a canted bay window with a mutuled cornice and engaged shafts at the angles. The left-hand bay has a Tuscan pilaster doorcase with a mutuled cornice, a plain rectangular overlight, and a door with six raised and fielded panels. A modillioned timber gutter cornice runs along the top. Shared chimneys are situated on the left and right sides. The interior has not been inspected.
