Description
1 and 2 Mount Parade are two houses built between 1823 and 1828. They are constructed of brick with some painted stone or stucco details and feature a slate roof. The buildings are three storeys high, with attics and cellars, and each house has two bays. The windows are glazing bar sashes. On the ground floor, each house has a tripartite bowed window on the left and a door on the right. The upper floor windows are adorned with painted rusticated lintels, decorated false keystones, and segmental soffits, along with a sill band on the first floor. The cellars have casement windows set in brick bows, and each house includes an attic dormer. The doorcases feature reeded pilasters, friezes with raised border panels, flattened console brackets, and semicircular overlights. The overlight for No. 2 contains 20th-century coloured glass. The doors have an oval panel above two rectangular panels. No. 1 has a timber gutter supported by paired rectangular brackets. There are chimneys located between the houses and at the left of No. 2. The interior has not been inspected.
