Description

This is a two-storey house with a cellar, built between 1829 and 1830. It is constructed of brick with painted stone or stucco dressings, and has a slate roof. The front elevation has two bays. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, with painted, rusticated lintels featuring keystones and segmental soffits. The ground floor cellar window is a 20th-century casement window with glazing bars. A sill band runs along the first-floor windows. The doorcase on the right-hand bay features engaged, fluted Doric columns, a frieze decorated with two bucranium (ox-head) motifs, and a cornice featuring mutules with guttae. The door itself has six raised and fielded panels, and is topped by a fanlight. Shared chimneys are located on the left and right sides of the building. The interior was not inspected. The building has group value.
