Description

The Clarendon Hotel is a late 18th-century terrace consisting of Nos 12 to 14, each four storeys high with three windows. The building is constructed of multicoloured stock brick and features a parapet front. The top of No 13 has been rebuilt, and there are wide bands at the first and third floors. The sash windows have gauged flat brick arches, with some windows featuring glazing bars while others have been replaced. No 13 slightly projects from the terrace and has a cornice at the third-floor level.

No 12 has a six-panel door set in a panelled reveal, topped with a radial fanlight under a round gauged brick arch, and has sunk panel side pilasters. No 13 has a bricked-up doorway, but a patterned radial fanlight in a panelled reveal is visible above the gauged brick round arch. No 14 has a doorway similar to No 12, although the door has been altered.

Nos 1 to 16 and Nos 18 to 20 form a group with this terrace.
