Description
No. 11 Morford Street is a terrace house, now divided into flats, built around 1775 to 1789, with later alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The front is made of limestone ashlar, which is now painted, while the rear has a double pile parapeted roof. The front features a concrete tile roof, and the rear has a pantile roof, with a coped party wall to the left and no chimney stacks. It is part of a paired building with No. 13 Morford Street.
The exterior consists of three storeys and a basement, with a single window front. The first floor has a two-over-two horned sash window in a plain reveal with a stone sill, while the second floor has a smaller similar window. On the ground floor, there are two early 19th-century paired two-over-two horned sash windows with border glazing in plain reveals and a continuous stone sill to the left. To the right, there is a 20th-century six-panel door in a chamfered reveal with a stone wood on console brackets, which is continuous with No. 13 Morford Street. This is accessed by two Pennant steps with a wrought iron handrail and a simple footscraper to the left. The building has a plinth to the left, a band course over the ground floor that continues with No. 13, and moulded coping to the parapet.
The rear elevation features six-over-six sash windows, with horns on the second floor. There have been 20th-century alterations to the basement and a shared 20th-century porch with No. 13, providing new rear access to the flats. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have undergone alterations during its conversion to flats.
