Description
The stable building located to the north of Number 16 on Sydenham Hill is a mid-19th century, one-storey structure with three bays that is linked to the main house. The exterior is now pebbledashed, and it features a slated roof with a moderate pitch. The central section slightly projects and is topped with a bargeboarded gable. On the left side, there are stable doors, while on the right, a window is situated beneath a square hoodmould. The center of the building has a Dutch door adorned with Gothic beading, along with a loading door that has a pointed arch and similar Gothic beading above it. To the left, there are extensions with a pent roof at the front, which include garage doors, and a pitched roof at the back that features three trefoil-headed lancet windows in the north wall. This stable building is graded for its group value with the house, as both Number 16 and the stable form a cohesive architectural group.
