Description

This building is a stable located to the northwest of Number 15, known as Peckover House, and dates from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of local brown brick and features a hipped slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The stable has two painted blind windows on the first floor, which have round-headed arches, and a central oval window with glazing bars. On the ground floor, there are three round-headed gauged red brick arches that frame two windows and a central door. The windows have interlacing glazing bars, and the door is a plank design with a fanlight above it.

Inside, the stabling area is complete and consists of four bays, each with flanking three-panelled pine doors. There is a staircase on the left side leading to the hay loft, which has an original pine king-post roof. The tack room is pine-boarded and retains its original fittings, and the floor features a herring-bone patterned brick design.
