Description
This building comprises a cottage, stable or store, and a small house, built as a continuous row. The construction dates to the late 18th century and the early to mid-19th century, and has been altered since. The building is made of roughly squared sandstone, with stone slate roofs and brick chimneys.
Numbers 65 and the stable/store to its right appear as a low two-storey structure under a single roof. It has two and a half bays and two windows on the front. Number 65 is nearly symmetrical, featuring a plain wooden doorway, two large square windows on the ground floor with 20th-century transomed 6-light casements, two 3-light casements above, and an old brick chimney at the left gable. The stable/store section of the building has a blocked square-headed waggon entrance with a wooden lintel and an inserted 4-pane window, a boarded door to the right, and a blocked square loading door above.
Number 67, to the right, is a taller two-storey structure with two windows, and is symmetrical. It has a round-headed doorway with imposts and keystone, an altered door, and a fanlight. The windows are sash windows with raised sills and wedge lintels, and all are 4-paned, except for the window to the left of the door, which has a plain lower leaf. There are end-wall chimneys. The rear of the building has been altered. A brick privy is attached to the rear of the stable.
