Description

The front walls, railings, and gates of numbers 39, 41, and 43 in Clapham date from the early 19th century. Numbers 39 and 41 feature brick walls topped with flat stone and a cast-iron overthrow with a lampholder at the gateway of number 39. Number 43 has an original brick wall with a curved stone coping, and there is a similar dividing wall that ramps up to the house between the front doors of numbers 41 and 43. The property is enhanced by tall wrought iron railings on the wall, a tall single wrought iron gate with ornamental side panels, a pier on the dividing wall, and an ornamental overthrow.
