Description
Nos 19 to 28 Lansdowne Crescent are a row of terraced houses built between 1860 and 1862 by H Hyatt. These houses feature a range of bow fronts and are flanked at each end by paired houses that have similar detailing but flat facades. They rise four storeys plus a basement, with each house having two windows. The exterior is stuccoed, with vermiculated rustications at the ground floor. A continuous iron bombe balcony projects over Ionic porches at the first floor. Each house has individual cornices on consoles and bracketed cills for the windows on the first and second floors. The flanking houses feature segmental pediments above the second-floor windows, quoins at the corners, and a balustraded parapet that remains on Nos 27 and 28. There are area railings, and this row is part of a unified layout with Nos 29-38.
