Description
This is a pair of early 19th-century terraced houses located in Islington. They are constructed with stucco over brick, with channelled detailing to the ground floor and lined ashlar to the upper floors. The exposed brick return walls are prominent. The roofs are hipped and covered in Welsh slate, with brick party-wall stacks in the centre. The houses are arranged with sidehall entrances and extend three storeys with a basement, each fronting two windows. Steps lead to the entrance in the outer bay, featuring an architraved doorway with pilaster jambs, a corniced head, a patterned rectangular overlight, and a panelled door. All six windows on each floor feature 6/6 sash glazing, with architraves. A moulded sill band sits below the full-length windows on the first floor, which also feature cast-iron balconies with a sunflower pattern. A plain stucco cornice runs along the top of the façade, above which is a parapet. Attached iron area railings are also part of the property.
