Description
Numbers 291 and 293 Liverpool Road are early 19th-century terraced houses. They are constructed of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern. Number 291 has an artificial slate roof, while the roof of number 293 is obscured by a parapet. Each house has two storeys over a half-basement, with two windows at the front. The window and door surrounds are made of gauged yellow brick. Number 291 has undergone significant rebuilding. Number 293 retains original sash windows on both floors. A round-arched entrance is flanked by slim Doric columns, a cornice, and a fanlight. The ground floor window is also round-arched, while the first-floor windows have flat arches. The roof of number 291 contains two flat-arched dormers. Chimneys are located on the party walls between the houses. Cast-iron railings are present at the steps.
