Description

A late 18th-century churchyard wall, railings, and gates form part of the boundary of St James's Church. The wall is low and constructed of brown brick in a Flemish bond pattern, extending for approximately 75 metres along the south, west, and a short section of the north sides of the churchyard, beginning at number 53 Clerkenwell Close. Cast-iron railings run atop the wall. The gates incorporate scrolled overthrow lampholders at the south and west entrances.
