Description

54 Clerkenwell Close is a terraced house built in the late 18th century. It features yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco on the ground floor and a roof that is hidden by a parapet. The building stands three storeys tall over a basement and has a three-window range, making it double-fronted. The ground floor is stuccoed, and the entrance has a flat arch with a cornice and overlight, but there are no other decorative elements. The ground-floor windows are flat-arched, while the upper floors have cambered-arched windows with gauged brick heads on the first floor, where the central window is blank. The ground floor has 6/6 sash windows of original design, and the left-hand first-floor window features an 8/8 sash. The overall design includes a parapet at the top.
