Description

This is a row of terraced houses dating from the early 19th century, located on Caledonian Road. The houses are built of yellow brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco dressings. The roof is hidden behind a parapet. The terrace consists of three storeys over a basement, with two windows visible on each floor. A round-arched entrance has a moulded architrave, cornice, and fanlight. The ground-floor windows are round-arched, with a stucco archivolt supported by consoles, except for number 116, which has a full architrave. A sill band runs along the first-floor windows, which are flat-arched and have gauged brick heads and individual cast-iron balconies. The second-floor windows are also flat-arched with gauged brick heads. The sashes are of original design, featuring intersecting tracery in the ground-floor windows. A brick dentil pattern forms the cornice. The parapet has been largely rebuilt. Chimney stacks are visible on the party walls between the houses. The buildings are of group value.
