Description

This is a row of terraced houses dating from the early 19th century, located on Caledonian Road in Islington. The houses are built of yellow brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco detailing. The roofs are hidden behind a parapet. The terrace is three storeys high, with a basement level, and features two windows on each visible floor. The basement and ground floors are stuccoed. The entrances are flat-arched, with pilasters and an overlight. All windows are flat-arched, with stucco architraves above the first and second-floor windows, and a cornice above the first-floor windows. The terrace has undergone significant rebuilding. Nos. 220 and 226-8 retain original sash windows on the first floor.
