Description

This is a row of terraced houses dating from the early 19th century, situated on Caledonian Road. The houses are built of yellow brick laid in a Flemish bond pattern, with stucco detailing. The roofs are hidden behind a parapet. Each house has three storeys over a basement and features two windows. A round-arched entrance is flanked by fluted quarter-columns and has a fanlight above. All window openings have brick arches constructed with a gauged finish. A round-arched window is present on the ground floor. A stucco sill band runs across the front of the building. The upper windows are flat-arched, and those on the first floor have individual cast-iron balconies. Original sash windows remain at numbers 120 (ground and first floors), 124 (second floor), 126 (ground and first floors), and 132 (first floor). Chimney stacks are situated within the party walls between the houses.
