Description

Numbers 2-6 (even) are a row of terraced houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brown brick laid in Flemish bond, with stucco elements and a roof made of Welsh slate. The buildings rise four storeys above a basement, with each house featuring two windows, although the original entrance of number 4 has been converted into a window. The basement and ground floor of number 6 are finished in stucco, with the ground floor showcasing channelled rustication.

There are steps leading up to a round-arched entrance that has a cornice and fanlight, while the entrance to number 6 is slightly splayed. The ground-floor windows are round-arched and have gauged brick heads, while all upper windows are flat-arched with gauged brick heads. The first-floor windows are particularly notable for their piano nobile proportions and feature iron balconies. The houses have a parapet and dormers with a mansard roof, and there are chimney stacks located on the party wall. Two rainwater heads dating from around 1800 are also present. The area is enclosed by railings topped with spear and urn finials.
