Description

A row of terraced houses built around 1830. The properties are constructed of stucco over a yellow brick base in a Flemish bond pattern, with roofs of Welsh slate or asbestos slate where visible. They are three storeys high with a basement level, and some have dormers in a mansard roof, with each house generally featuring two windows. The design is characterised by banded rustication to the ground floor, steps leading to a segmental-arched entrance with a fanlight, a round-arched window to the ground floor, a sill band to the first-floor windows, flat-arched upper windows, and a parapet with a party wall stack.

The houses exhibit individual variations: number 101 has been completely rebuilt with a flat-arched entrance and mansard roof dormers; number 103 features a head keystone over its ground-floor window and cambered upper windows, also with mansard roof dormers; number 105 has fluted pilasters, brick heads to the windows, original sash windows with intersecting tracery to the ground floor, and a cast-iron balcony with anthemion ornament to the first floor; number 107 includes fluted pilasters and original sash windows to the first and second floors; number 109 has fluted quarter-columns and mansard roof dormers; number 111 has fluted quarter-columns, a panelled door of original design, original sash windows with intersecting tracery to the ground floor, and mansard roof dormers; and number 113 features fluted quarter-columns, original sash windows to the ground and first floors (with radiating tracery to the ground floor), and a single dormer in its mansard roof. The properties are further enhanced by cast-iron railings with spearhead finials.
