Description

This is a mid-19th century house with Tudor detailing. The central two-storey block, featuring two windows, has a low-pitched slate roof with eaves soffits. This section appears older than the single-storey, basement side wings, which each have two windows. The side wings have higher-pitched slate roofs and tall, diagonal brick chimneys. The walls are stuccoed. Cross casement windows are set within raised stucco surrounds. The left wing has brick quoins to a gabled projection. The central entrance is a half-glazed, four-panel door within a loggia partially formed from early 19th century sash windows with glazing bars. At first-floor level, a niche with a four-centred head and hoodmould contains a portrait bust. The building possesses a degree of curiosity value.
