Description

This is a late 18th century house, originally two storeys with a high basement, and now divided into two dwellings. It stands on the west side of North Hill in Highgate. The house is constructed of stock brick with a tall stone-coped brick parapet, featuring three recessed panels, the central one round. The first floor has three-light sash windows, while the ground floor has single sash windows and the basement has casements; all retaining glazing bars. Number 141 has a rebuilt flight of eight steps leading to a door of six beaded panels and a glazed top section, set in a stucco lined reveal, with similar window reveals. Number 143 features a small porch with a trellis front and a swept roof at the north end of the basement level. Numbers 131 to 143 (the odd numbers) form a group.
