Description
Nos 53 and 55 North Hill, located in Highgate, are early 18th century buildings that each stand three storeys tall and feature one window. The front of the buildings has been stuccoed and includes a parapet. Number 53 has had all its windows replaced with modern casements, and two small windows have been added along with a modern glazed door. In contrast, number 55 retains early to mid-19th century casements and a six-panel door with a glazed top, as well as cast iron steps and a handrail. These buildings are included for their group value despite the alterations. They are part of a group that includes No 43 and Nos 47 to 57 (odd).
