Description
No. 51 North Hill is an early 18th-century building that has undergone some alterations. It stands three storeys tall with one window on each floor. The walls are now covered in stucco and feature a parapet. The second-floor sash window is set in an exposed moulded frame with a segmental head. The first floor has a canted bay with early 19th-century casements, which is sheltered by a trellised canopy with a hipped lead roof. This bay leads to a wrought iron balcony above a projecting ground floor that resembles a shop front. The central door has a reeded cornice head and a fanlight, with narrow pilasters on either side, flanked by blank round-arched recesses with panels. No. 51 is part of a group that includes No. 43 and Nos. 47 to 57 (odd).
