Description
Nos 178 and 180 on Lansdowne Drive, built in the early to mid 19th century, are three-storey buildings with a sunk basement and two windows each. They are constructed of stock brick, with a parapet that has been rebuilt at the top. The sash windows feature gauged flat brick arches and glazing bars set in stucco-lined reveals, with the first-floor windows being long and adorned with ornamental wrought iron balconies. The ground floor openings have gauged brick round arches. Each building has a six-panel door with quadrant pilasters; the door of No 178 is fluted, and both doors have blocked fanlights. These buildings have group value with Nos 172 to 186 (even).
