Description

This is a terrace of 16 houses located on Georgiana Street, built in the early to mid 19th century. The houses are constructed of yellow stock brick, featuring a rusticated stucco ground floor and a plain stucco sill band on the first floor. Number 27 has a slate mansard roof with an attic dormer. Houses 25-27 and 19 & 20 slightly project from the main facade. The terrace is three storeys high with a basement, and each house has two windows. The doorways are square-headed with pilaster-jambs that support cornice-heads, and they include fanlights and panelled doors. The windows are recessed sashes, with the upper floors framed by architraves; the first floor features cast-iron balconies. Numbers 16, 17, 19, 21, and 31 have stucco cornices and a blocking course, while the others have plain stucco parapet bands. The interiors have not been inspected. The terrace is complemented by attached cast-iron railings with spearhead finials surrounding the areas.
