Description

Numbers 58 to 62 Warren Street are a terrace of five houses, built around 1792 and altered subsequently. Numbers 59 and 62 were restored in 1989. The houses are constructed of darkened stock brick, with later patching. Number 58 has a painted ground floor, while Number 59 has a stucco ground floor. The first floor has sill bands. The roofs are slated mansard roofs, with dormers; Number 60 has a felted roof.

The houses are three storeys high, with attics and basements, and each has two windows. The recessed sash windows have glazed bars, and gauged brick flat arches above them. Number 59 has stucco architraves to the windows. The houses have parapets.

Number 58 has a round-arched doorway with stucco imposts and head, a key pattern, pilaster-jambs supporting a cornice-head, and a fanlight. It has a 20th-century part-glazed door and a cement parapet. Number 59 has a square-headed doorway with a fanlight, pilasters supporting an entablature, and a panelled door. Number 60 has a round-arched doorway with a cornice-head, a radial fanlight, and a panelled door. The ground floor of Number 61 was bricked up at the time of inspection in 1989. Number 62 has a round-arched doorway with a stucco surround, a cornice-head, a radial fanlight and a panelled door.

The interiors were not inspected. Attached cast-iron railings are present to the areas.
