Description

The Gateway to Number 2 is a structure dating from around 1890, designed by TK Green. It features red brick pillars topped with hexagonal terracotta drums that have enriched scrolled brackets at the corners. These drums are capped with hexagonal cushions and ball finials, although the left-hand finial is missing. The gateway includes a cast-iron gate with a scroll design, complemented by a scroll overthrow and a highly decorated lantern.
