Description

Number 22 is a terraced house located on Church Row in Camden, dating from circa 1720 and significantly refaced in the late 19th century to reflect a Georgian style. The house is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and horizontal floor bands. It features slightly projecting brick pilaster strips at the corners, and a slated mansard roof with pedimented dormers. The building is three storeys high, with an attic and basement, and has three windows facing the street.

The front door is set within a late 19th-century doorcase, incorporating fluted pilasters and a cornice. The doorway itself has panelled reveals, a radial patterned fanlight above the door, and a panelled door, with a wrought-iron lamp bracket positioned above. The windows are recessed sashes with exposed boxes, featuring glazing bars only to the top half of the sashes. The first floor has cast-iron balconies. A parapet sits atop the building.

The interior of the house has not been inspected. Attached to the property are cast-iron railings to the front areas, topped with torch flambe finials.
