Description
No. 24 Perrins Walk is a coach house that has been converted into a private residence. It dates from the early 19th century, with alterations made to the south facade in the late 19th century and the rear facade during the inter-war period. The building is constructed of multi-colour stock brick with a stucco ground floor and features a slated roof. It stands three storeys tall and has two windows plus a narrow 20th-century window.
The entrance features a doorcase with channelled pilasters and enriched console brackets that support an ornate hood. The door has panelled reveals. Channelled pilasters also flank the garage entrance and support an entablature with a patterned frieze that continues across three linked sash windows. The upper floor displays segmental arches above flush frame sashes, with the first floor having later louvred shutters, while the second floor includes a central bracketed oriel window. A parapet crowns the building, and there is a roundel at the first floor level bearing the initials of Norman Evill, an artist who added the painted brick Gothick rear facade. The ground and first floor windows are set within arched recesses with ogee windows, and the gabled attic windows feature lancet lights with leaded panes. The interior has not been inspected.
