Description

Number 27 is a c.1708 terraced house, altered in subsequent centuries. The house is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings, with the third floor refaced in multi-coloured stock brick. The ground floor is rusticated stucco, while the first floor has a stucco sill band. The building comprises four storeys and a basement, with three windows to the front. A square-headed doorway contains a fanlight and a panelled door. Brick bands are present on the second and third floors. The first and second floors feature recessed two-pane sashes with exposed boxing, each beneath red gauged brick flat arches. The third floor has two sashes with glazing bars, each within a gauged brick segmental arch. A parapet tops the building. The interior has not been inspected. Attached cast-iron railings with urn finials define the area.
