GV II

House now a hotel & restaurant. Late C17, altered with mid C19 & later front. Stucco with channelled ground and 1st floor. All now painted. Slate mansard roof with 3 dormers. 4 storeys & basement, 3 windows with left hand curved angle having 1-window and 1 blind window return. C20 ground floor shopfront. Square headed, recessed doorway. Pilasters on quoins rise through lst and 2nd floor carrying cornice and blocking course. Floor and sill bands. Lugged architrave sash windows with lst and 2nd floor cornices. INTERIOR: good late C17 open well staircase with closed strings, square newels, turned balusters and moulded handrail rising full height of building. Some late C17 moulded door frames.
