Description

No. 5, Millfield Lane is a detached house built in 1823, with later additions. It is constructed of stucco, with a hipped, slated roof and projecting eaves. The house is two storeys high, with lower two-storey wings extending to either side. It has a double-fronted facade, featuring three windows in the central section and one window in each wing. The main entrance is accessed via part-glazed double doors set within a wooden trellis porch and a tented canopy. The recessed sash windows on the ground floor are flanked by arched recesses; the window in the right-hand wing has margin glazing. First-floor sashes are accentuated by bracketed architraves and margin glazing. The interior was not inspected.
