Description
No. 148 Haverstock Hill is a detached house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of stucco and features an irregular slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a double front that includes three windows and a single window in a two-storey entrance extension to the left. At the corners, pilasters with plaster wreaths on their capitals support an attic sill cornice. There is a plain sill band at the first floor and a band above the first floor windows. The round-arched doorway has a radial patterned fanlight, a partially glazed door, and a 20th-century hood. The central ground floor features French windows with margin lights, topped by a console bracketed cornice and a rosette enriched head. The upper floors have sash windows, with the first floor windows set in rosette enriched architraves; the central window is blind. The garden front includes a large bow-fronted ground floor window with a cast-iron balcony over a conservatory. There is a battlemented single-storey extension to the east. The interior has not been inspected.
