Description

The Mount numbers 8 and 9 are a pair of semi-detached houses dating from the late 18th century, and subsequently altered. They are constructed of brown brick with slated hipped roofs. The houses are three storeys high, with two windows to number 8 and four windows to number 9. Number 8 has a mid-19th century cast-iron porch, while number 9 features a central 20th-century portico extension. The windows are altered recessed sash windows. The first-floor sashes at number 8 have painted flat arches and a cast-iron balcony to the right-hand window. Number 9’s first-floor sashes have gauged brick flat arches and shutters. The interiors were not inspected.
