Description
Guyon House is a terraced house dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It is constructed of yellow stock brick and features a slate mansard roof with segmental dormers. The building stands three storeys tall, with a basement and attics, and has three windows. The entrance is highlighted by a stucco doorcase with pilasters that support an entablature and pediment. The doorway has panelled reveals, an overlight, and a panelled door. The windows have gauged brick flat arches and recessed sashes, with those on the first and second floors set in shallow, round-arched recesses that include stucco impost bands. The first-floor sashes are complemented by a stucco sill band and cast-iron balconies. A stucco cornice adds to the architectural detail. The rear elevation may date from the earlier 18th century. The interior has not been inspected.
