Description

No. 46 College Street is a house dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century, with a front added in the 18th century. It is timber-framed and rendered, showing some traces of its original lining, and has plaintiles on the roof. The building is two storeys high and features a three-cell internal chimney plan, with a jettied section along the street frontage. The front has three windows, which are 16-pane sashes set in flush cased frames. On the ground floor, there are two sash windows with vertical bars, one of which is a wide 8-pane window. The house also has two plain four-panel doors. Inside, the property is noted for its exposed timbers.
