Description

Ivy Cottage is a 17th-century house located on Hopton Road in Thelnetham. It is one-and-a-half storeys tall and features a lobby entrance design. The structure is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a straw thatch roof that has a decorated ridge. The roof extends down the center of the front to create a small rounded porch, which is supported by two rustic posts. The gables have fluted barge-boards beneath the thatch. The cottage has two 2-light casement windows with leaded panes and early 19th-century hood-moulds, as well as two eyebrow dormers that also contain leaded-paned casement windows. At the rear, there is a small single-storey lean-to.
