Description
Trappets Cross Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It has one storey and attics, featuring a two-cell layout. The structure is timber-framed and rendered, topped with a thatched roof. On the east side, there is a small single-storey lean-to made of random brick and flint, which is colourwashed and covered with double Roman tiles. The cottage has two external end chimney-stacks, which are not from the same period. There are two cross windows and a small two-light casement window in the lean-to. The central door is a plank door, slightly recessed. Additionally, a small lean-to with a pantiled roof surrounds the base of the chimney-stack on the west side. The roof is supported by side purlins. The cottage is included for its group value.
