TL 87 NE EUSTON THE STREET (EAST SIDE) 4/45 Nos. 1 & 2.

GV II

A pair of estate cottages. Late C17/early C18. One storey and attics. Timber-framed and rendered with a reed thatched roof. Basically a 3-cell lobby-entrance plan, later converted to 2 dwellings. The internal. chimney-stack has a plain red brick shaft: an early C19 chimney-stack is placed externally on the north gable. Range of 6 irregularly-spaced 2-light casement windows, small paned: one gabled dormer with tiled roof and an old leaded casement window. 2 C20 half-glazed doors. No.1 has typical framing for its date: joists set on edge, bisected studs, straight primary braces, some reused timbers, including one large ceiling beam.
